  Parents BEWARE! Dr. Shepard is inexperienced, deviant minded, and untrustworthy. My child had symptoms of the flu and a UTI.She had been to the doctor 1 time in 3 years.She had a virus and was also treated w/antibiotic for UTI.In 4 days she was back to normal.We went back to Dr. Shepard within 2 wks to have a follow up urinalysis.Results came back bacteria free, and has now been symptom free 6 wks.At the time our daughter was sick, I brought up the fact that one kidney was formed improperly, and experiences reflux which makes her prone to UTI. She suggested we have a blood test for peace of mind. A wk later we went to have the blood drawn, but were sent away since Dr. Shepard failed to send the lab request. Yesterday,CPS began investigating our family. Dr. Shepard reported us for medical neglect.Our 3 kids were humiliated, pulled out of class by CPS.They took pics of our fridge, kids sleeping quarters, and asked if we had been abused as children.Dr. Lauren K. Shepard has caused horrific worry and suffering by not following proper channels of communication, and jumping the gun as a green and inexperienced pediatrician. We have contacted legal entities to help us place a complaint with the medical boards, and ensure this type of careless behavior doesn't continue with her next patients. Our family works hard to be respected in our community, and now we must focus our efforts to clear our name.
