  My grandma was not diabetic and they gave her diabetic source through the feeding tube for about 2 days also the nurses forgot to give her a medication that had made her evacuated everything bad out of her system. I always wonder if that was why her ammonia levels never went down. So they made her to be evacuating 24 hrs a day to lower her ammonia levels and she needed to be cleaned up very often and some nurses where discussing on the hall who will do it. One was late because computer problems and the other one because had a lot of patients to clean up. They were a few nurses that were really helpful.

  My wife spent several weeks at St. Catherine's this year to recover from an extensive surgery at a MC hospital we love. We didn't want to use a MC LTACH as i needed to be closer to our son's home near Katy. The reviews for St Catherine's were terrible but a personal tour of the facility changed my mind. The facility itself and rooms are excellent and spacious. The Doctors and Nurses were very good and pleasant. The only knocks I have is the staff seems to be stretched. As a fall risk my wife needed timely bathroom assistance that almost never came after pushing the call button. Also, there was confusion about what and when medications were to be administered. However it was a much better experience than our previous LTACH experience in the MC area. John from Lumberton gives St Catherine's a 4 rating.
