- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Buyer beware! You will be charged more if you don't know your Rx and you will be charged a slightly lesser amount even if you do (this isn't covered by your insurance!). When I asked, the office staff said they charge more when they "doctor has to work harder" .... um that's her JOB! Regardless of my eye Rx, the doctor's job is to examine and test my eyes... that's call an eye exam. Additionally, they charge extra for a "premium contact lens fitting" while my insurance covers an annual contract lenses fitting but their lens fitting is "premium" meaning you pay out of pocket. The premium lens fitting only included reading of the eye chart with my contacts in, the doctor didn't even bother to look at the contact when in my eye. (It is not a contact lens fitting without looking at the contact on the eyeball.) I don't know what's "premium"about the exam other than the price!December 04, 2016by Kristen Wessel
